Y’know what’s interesting about this song? I can’t find this version of the song, with the drum intro and this particular soft instrumental, anywhere. The versions on the “Here We Go Again” album and the “Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure” album both start with the instrumental coming in full force with violins. The version on the “Faith, Trust, and Pixie Dust” album is different than this one too, all remixed with the intro sounding like it’s coming from underwater. All good versions, but not this one. Not even Shazam in 2023 knows what this song is. This mystery has intrigued me off-and-on since I found this particular lyric video years ago, and I am still so curious to find answers. Edit: this may be a promotional single version of the song that was released, then subsequently unregistered after the album released. The Wayback Machine had archived a page on Japanese iTunes (yes really) for this song, specifically called “Gift of a Friend - Single”. Can’t hear the audio, but the unique name intrigues me. 😅
